Requirements for Membership
Candidates for LOCAL MEMBERSHIP must be approved by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors acts on membership applications at the next Board Meeting (Fourth Thursday of each month).
- Candidates must attend at least two regular meetings of the Columbia-Willamette Faceters’ Guild before submitting an application.
- At least one faceted and finished stone by the candidate must be submitted with the application. Once evaluated, the stone will be returned to the candidate. This requirement is waived for Correspondence Membership.
- If your household has more than one person wishing to become a member and you only need one copy of FACETS then the second membership is just $10.00 ($35 for the couple).
- Local members may also request a CWFG name badge for an additional $9.50.
Candidates for CORRESPONDENT MEMBERSHIP who, by virtue of distance, residence, or other circumstances that prevent attendance at regular meetings, may waive the attendance requirements. Correspondent members shall be entitled to all the privileges of membership, except the right to vote or hold office. For Canada or Overseas membership, the annual fee is $25.00 including a PDF version of FACETS. If you prefer a mailed copy of FACETS the annual fee is $35.
Membership dues are $25.00 per year for USA residents and include an annual subscription to FACETS, our monthly CWFG Newsletter. Example issue FACETS March 2015. The dues for Canada or Overseas is $25 if you wish your monthly FACETS delivered in the digital PDF format, or $35 for paper copies.
Members also receive the Complete Archive of all FACETS published since Dec 1973 which includes all articles and faceting designs free with membership!
