Requirements for Membership
All members must be approved by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors acts on membership applications at the next Board Meeting (First Tuesday of each month).
All memberships include an annual subscription to FACETS, our monthly CWFG Newsletter. Example issue FACETS March 2015. Members also receive access to member-only pages in our website (www.facetersguild.com), including an archive of all FACETS published since Dec 1973!
Candidates for LOCAL MEMBERSHIP
- Candidates must attend at least two regular meetings of the Columbia-Willamette Faceters’ Guild before submitting an application.
- At least one faceted and finished stone by the candidate must be submitted with the application. Once evaluated, the stone will be returned to the candidate.
- Candidates for local membership must apply in person or by mail, or online.
- Local membership comes in two flavors: Single for individual adults or Family for two adults with or without children.
Candidates for CORRESPONDENT MEMBERSHIP
- This membership is for organizations and those persons who, by virtue of distance, residence, or other circumstances cannot attend regular meetings.
- Candidates for Correspondent membership may waive the attendance requirements and do not need to submit a stone.
- Candidates for Correspondent membership shall be entitled to all the privileges of membership, except the right to vote or hold office.
- Candidates for Correspondent membership may apply in person, by mail, or online.
Membership Dues
- Single membership dues are $25.00 per year.
- Family member dues (2 adults, kids participate) are $35.00 per year.
- Correspondent member dues are $25.00 per year.
- Name Tags are $15.00 each and may be ordered from the Treasurer at the Monthly Meeting or by email using our Contact Us page.
- Online payments may be made with PayPal, VISA, MasterCard or Discover.
- Payments via Check or Money Order should accompany the application, either in person or by being mailed to Treasurer-CWFG, PO Box 684, Fairview, OR 97024.
Application Procedure
Applying in person or by mail
- Written Application Forms are available at monthly meetings or you may download an application from this website. If you need one sent to you, contact us at Columbia-Willamette Faceters’ Guild – CWFG, PO Box 684, Fairview, OR 97024, or via email at treasurer@facetersguild.com.
- Please submit the application to the treasurer at a meeting or to the mailing address above. Important: include a check for your first year’s dues with your application.
- Once an application is received, the CWFG board will review and approve it at the next regularly scheduled CWFG board meeting.
- Once the application is approved, you will be notified and you will receive your member username and password granting you access to the members-only pages of the website.
Applying Online (Correspondent Membership Only
- Online correspondent Applications may made by clicking the Online Correspondent Payment\Registration button below.
- After making the payment, you will be directed to a special page to pre-register with your name and email address.
- You will receive an email at the address you specified in Step 2 containing a link to complete your registration. Click the link and specify your account’s username, password, and other required information. Important! Remember the user name and password. You will need them to access member’s only content on the website once you are an approved member.
- Once you have completed your registration, your account status will be set to “Pending” and the Board of Directors will review your application and determine what kind of membership you need. Please note that it may take a couple of weeks for the board to complete this process.
- Once the board has approved your membership, your status will set to “Active” and you will be sent an email notifying you of your membership approval. You can now login with your credentials, and have full access to the member-only content of the website.
